Managed Cloud Operations

Operate, monitor, optimize and continuously improve cloud and hybrid infrastructure.

Keep cloud infrastructure reliable after go-live

Cloud infrastructure does not become finished when it reaches production. Capacity changes, services evolve, incidents happen and operational debt grows if nobody owns continuous improvement.
We operate, monitor and optimize cloud and hybrid environments so your teams can rely on stable infrastructure without spending every day on routine operations.

Typical scenarios:
Cloud operations consume too much engineering time – internal teams are stuck with routine infrastructure work.
Incidents are too reactive – problems are discovered by users before monitoring provides useful signals.
Hybrid environments are difficult to operate – cloud and data-center infrastructure follow different processes and tools.
The environment needs continuous improvement – performance, resilience, automation and cost should improve after go-live.

How do Managed Cloud Operations work?

We combine observability, operational processes, automation and cloud engineering to keep environments healthy, respond to issues and continuously remove operational friction.

What are Managed Cloud Operations?

Managed Cloud Operations provide ongoing technical ownership for cloud and hybrid infrastructure after implementation. The service combines monitoring, maintenance, incident response and optimization so environments remain reliable, secure and efficient as workloads and business needs change.

From reactive support to proactive operations

A managed service should do more than wait for tickets.
We establish operational baselines, understand normal workload behaviour, automate repeatable tasks and use incidents, utilization and service data to decide what should improve next.
Your environment becomes easier to operate over time instead of accumulating more manual work.

We provide:
Monitoring and operational health management
Incident, problem and change management
Backup, patching and lifecycle operations
Automation and continuous optimization

Frequently Asked Questions

What do Managed Cloud Operations include?

The exact scope depends on the environment and operating model.
Typical services include infrastructure monitoring, alert management, incident and problem management, patching, backup, change management, capacity reviews, operational automation and continuous optimization.
We define responsibilities and service boundaries before operations begin so your team knows exactly what Nubes owns and what remains internal.

Do you provide 24/7 cloud operations?

Where the workload requires it, the operating model can include 24/7 monitoring and incident coverage through an agreed support model.
Not every environment needs the same service level. Development platforms and non-critical systems may use different support windows from customer-facing or business-critical workloads.
We define coverage around the actual business impact and service requirements rather than applying the most expensive model everywhere.
This is a better approach than making “24×7” the service itself. Large managed-service providers such as AWS and Rackspace use 24/7 coverage for critical operating models, but the broader service still includes monitoring, maintenance, backup, incident response and optimization.

Which cloud and infrastructure platforms can you manage?

We are cloud agnostic.
The service can cover AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and other cloud providers, together with supported private, hybrid and data-center infrastructure.
The operating model is adapted to the technologies already used by your organization rather than forcing the estate into one provider’s tooling.

How is this different from DevOps & SRE?

There is some overlap, but the responsibility is different.
Managed Cloud Operations focuses on operating the cloud and infrastructure environment: monitoring, incidents, maintenance, backups, changes, capacity and continuous optimization.
DevOps & SRE focuses more on engineering practices for software delivery and service reliability, including CI/CD, platform engineering, SLOs and reliability automation.
They can work together, but they solve different problems.

Can you work with our existing operations team?

Yes.
Managed operations do not have to mean complete outsourcing.
We can work in a co-managed model where your team keeps selected responsibilities and Nubes owns defined operational areas, escalation levels or specialist tasks.
This is often useful when internal teams understand the applications well but need stronger cloud, infrastructure or operational engineering capacity.

How do you handle incidents?

We define severity, ownership, escalation and response procedures before they are needed.
Monitoring should produce actionable alerts with a known response. During an incident, the priority is restoring service safely. Afterward, we review the cause and identify changes that can prevent recurrence.
AWS and Google both recommend structured incident management, business-impact prioritization, runbooks and root-cause-driven improvements rather than treating each alert as an isolated ticket.

Do you manage backups, patching and disaster recovery?

Yes, these can be included in the managed scope.
We can operate backup schedules and checks, patch processes and recovery procedures, while keeping retention, RTO, RPO and approval requirements aligned with your business needs.
Where disaster recovery is critical, we also recommend regular restore or recovery testing rather than assuming that successful backup jobs guarantee recoverability.
AWS Managed Services similarly treats patching, backup management and restoration as core infrastructure operating capabilities.

How do you improve an environment after taking over operations?

We start by establishing a baseline for monitoring, incidents, recurring work, capacity, cost and operational risks.
We then identify manual tasks, repeated incidents, weak alerts and infrastructure inefficiencies that can be automated or redesigned.
The objective is not simply to operate the same environment forever. Good managed operations should gradually reduce toil and make the platform more predictable.
AWS’s Cloud Operations and Platform Enablement guidance explicitly recommends automation, standardized patterns and removing repetitive operational work while building stronger capabilities for workload teams.
